MEN'S HEALTH - SWINDON & LECHLADE

Tired. Wired.
Not quite yourself ?

And not entirely sure when that changed. You're not imagining it — and there's more you can do about it than you might think.

Most men don't walk into an acupuncture clinic because they've decided to prioritise their wellbeing. They come because something has got bad enough that they can't ignore it anymore.

Maybe it's the fatigue that coffee doesn't touch. The sleep that isn't restoring you. The low-level stress that's become your baseline. The sense that you're functioning, but not really living.

Whatever brought you here — you're in the right place.

What men typically come to me with

These are the things men will actually say out loud. They're all genuinely treatable — and they're often connected.

  • Persistent fatigue

  • Poor or broken sleep

  • Stress & feeling overwhelmed

  • Brain fog & poor concentration

  • Low motivation or drive

  • Anxiety

  • Digestive issues (IBS)

  • Back, neck & shoulder pain

  • Migraines & headaches

  • Dizziness or low energy

Most of my male patients come in for one thing and leave having sorted three. That's not unusual — in Chinese medicine, symptoms that seem unrelated often share an underlying cause.

Why this works differently

My approach is guided by the Balanced Method — a refined system of acupuncture that goes well beyond standard point selection.

What that means in practice:

Rather than treating only where you feel the problem, I often work on a different area of the body entirely. This is more precise, less irritating to inflamed tissue, and — importantly — you can feel it working during the session.
We're not guessing. We test and refine as we go. You'll often notice a clear shift before you've left the treatment room.
Once the immediate issue is settling, I'll bring in additional points to address the underlying pattern — the reason this happened, not just the fact that it did.

This is the difference between relief and resolution. Most men are looking for the latter.

Beyond the quick fix

There are conditions that men find harder to talk about. Erectile dysfunction. Premature ejaculation. Loss of libido. Declining drive and vitality as the years go on.
The standard response is medication — and for some men, that's the right call. But a pill addresses a symptom. It doesn't ask why the symptom is there.

"These issues rarely exist in isolation. Fatigue, stress, poor sleep, and hormonal shifts are almost always part of the picture."

Acupuncture — particularly the root-cause approach I use — works on that whole picture.
Not just one part of it.
Men who come to me for fatigue often find that other things improve too.
Sometimes things they hadn't mentioned.

There's no need to lead with the difficult stuff. We start wherever you're comfortable, and go from there.

What to expect

Your first session is mostly conversation and assessment — I want to understand the full picture, not just the headline complaint.
Treatment follows in the same session.

For most men, I'd suggest three sessions in fairly close succession to start with.
That's enough to make a genuine dent in whatever's going on and to establish whether we're heading in the right direction.

Sessions are £85 and run for approximately one hour.
Clinics in Swindon and at The Health Box in Lechlade every Tuesday evening.

"Andrew's approach is with an acute understanding of how my body responds to the treatment, which he carefully plans for each session.
my overall health has significantly improved "
